Kyso is a B2B web application for publishing data science notebooks, technical analysis and discussions. Data is usually in the form of code and technical analysis, mostly unaccessible to non-technical stakeholders.
Decision makers need access to technical data analysis so that they can improve their business insights
Below an example of how a non technical manager can expect to see reports about the company. These reports are made by the data science team and "live" on technical tools like Github, Gitlab, etc... which are complex and not geared towards displaying data visualizations.
As you can see, this type of technical files does not allow to extrapolate the insights because these tools don't visually render the data, making it inaccessible to non-technical colleagues.
How do we make technical reports easy to access for non technical users?
Increase the number of reports published on Kyso.

What are the current workarounds data scientists use? What insights can we get?
Building internal dashboards for the company to access data is expensive and require high amount of work and mainteinance
Often screenshots of data analysis are shared in via email and Slack, but this leads to outdated files going around.
The inability of management to access data in a direct way, means that data just won’t be considered.
Data scientist don’t have to disrupt their workflow by switching to a new platform, but they’ll be able to connect their technical tool of choice to Kyso.
In the representation below you can see how the data scientist's journey begins when they start working on a new report outside of Kyso, using their own tools (Github, Jupyter, etc..). Only after the report creation, they will connect to Kyso which will allow them and their colleagues to easily access those reports and visualize the data.
And below I break down the journey in several smaller steps to create the actual experience flow that the user will go through.
